A little bit about Author Jayne Simon…
I am a life-long learner and a lover of great stories. I started writing at the tender age of sixty-nine, after retiring from a varied career: from my first job as a mail delivery girl at Hammermill Paper Company to my last position as the event planner at the local campus of Penn State University here in Erie, with lots of different positions in the non-profit sector in between. Upon retiring, I enjoyed hosting afternoon teas and catering showers and special events for twelve years. Currently, I run our parish food pantry…and I write! I draw inspiration from my family's personal history and develop characters based on real-life experiences.
I married my high school sweetheart, and we’ve been married for almost fifty-seven years. We have three wonderful children, a great son-in-law, an amazing daughter-in-law, and last, but certainly not least, we are blessed with four perfect (well, almost perfect!) grandsons.
In 2016, my sister asked me to join a writing group with her - and I'm so glad I did. The people in my writing group have become my dearest friends, and I attribute my writing achievements to them. With their guidance and support, I have been able to make a dream come true, and I’m looking forward to writing a few more novels in the years ahead.
